  Little Kids  

Siren Elementary School provides students with a quality education for grades PK-6. Learning is made fun by our highly qualified teachers and staff members. From the moment you enter the rotunda area to the moment you leave the building, it is filled with activity, learning and fun. Teachers use a variety of teaching styles to reach all students and allow them to learn across a broad spectrum. Our playground area is fun-filled with age appropriate activities for all student levels. The friendliness of the people in the building is what you would expect to find in a Northern Wisconsin community. We welcome visitors to our campus, but do ask that you sign in at one of the main offices. With the school being a major hub in the Siren community, we are constantly a bustle with activities.

Kindergarten.Children make self-directed and purposeful choices in the classroom, Children will work/play independently and with others. Children develop increased confidence and self-awareness. Children build on their literacy and math concepts through observation, ,be sensitive to others feelings and rights of others, begin to accept responsibility for their behavior, Have fun learning!!

First GradePersonal Goals for our First Graders Develop self-respect, respect for others and appropriate social skills. Develop, maintain and enrich written and verbal communication skills. Increase academic skills appropriate to grade level. Develop effective strategies for problem solving in a variety of situations. Read at grade level by end of the year. Act appropriatley in all situations. Do their best to be a friend and a helper.

Second Grade Students will be able to write and recognize statements and questions, comprehend written material through the use of strategies and skills, listen-speak-write and orally read, read and define grade appropriate vocabulary, use phonetic strategies and structural analysis to decode words, apply study skills to written work.

Third Grade Students will learn to add, subtract whole numbers in problem-solving situations, read, write and order whole numbers to 10,000, know basic multiplication and division facts for 0-9, tell time to the minute and work with money, measure cups, pints, quarts, gallons, length, weight, and temperature.

Fourth Grade . Further reading abilitiy into more abstract concepts, Memorizing multiplication facts and understanding real world story problems.

Fifth Grade While in fifth grade students will learn multiplication and division, improve on their reading skills, and get all their work completed on time.

Sixth Grade Sixth grade goals are to prapare students to succeed in Jr. High and High School by using grade appropriate instruction aligned with the Wisconsin state standards. It is our intention that when our students go on to 7th grade, they are prepared academically and socially to succeed.
