Facilities Use
The school is an integral part of the community in terms of its intellectual and social expression and development. To this end, the Siren Board of Education encourages the public use of school facilities within Board Policy guidelines, when they are not being used for district curricular and extra curricular activities.
The Siren Board of Education, in recognizing the community school concept, may allow the use of school facilities by community organizations. Primary consideration shall be given to youth-related activities for students who reside in the district. Requests from other agencies where adults are involved shall be honored whenever space and scheduling permit and in accordance with district guidelines and state statutes. Request from commercial groups may be allowed as long as any income that may be generated from the approved activity does not exceed the facility and/or school employee fees charged by the district. All school related functions shall have priority over requests from outside agencies. A rental agreement may be terminated if the facility is needed for a school activity.

Auditorium rental will require control room and lighting personnel which are school approved individuals. If these individuals are needed, an hourly rate will be applied for each.
