District Superintendent's Shoutout

  •

Thank you to all of the community members who voted to support the purpose of paying the cost of a district-wide school improvement program consisting of: safety and security upgrades, including secure entrances; classroom, lab, weight room and other renovations; construction of a district office addition; HVAC and capital maintenance improvements; restroom and locker room upgrades; and acquisition of furnishings, fixtures and equipment. This result will benefit the students of the Siren District.

  • School Day/Time Changes

With all the school closures (6 full days) and late starts/early releases (equaling 3 school days) we need to make changes to the school day and school calendar to meet the required hours of instruction.  The changes below will cover the hours we are short right now but if we have additional school closures we will need to make further adjustments.

School hours will change starting next Monday, March 4.  School will start at 8:05 and end at 3:40.  A new middle school and high school bell schedules are attached, 2 minutes have been added to each class period and 5 minutes to study hall at the end of the day.

    School calendar changes are
Full student contact day on Friday, March 8 instead of a teacher inservice day.
Full student contact day on Monday, March 11 instead of a vacation day.
Full student contact day on Friday, May 10 instead of a teacher inservice day.
