    Early Childhood Special Education Position:

    The School District of Siren has opened up a search for an Early Childhood Special Education teacher for the 2022-2023 school year.  This is a full-time position. Preferred candidates will have training and/or experience working with students with disabilities ages 3 through Kindergarten, providing both inclusionary as well as itinerant services.

    Candidates need to possess excellent organizational skills and time management abilities, strong communication skills, and an ability to collaborate effectively with school staff, parents and other community members.  Candidates should also have a strong knowledge of instructional best practices and have experience writing and implementing Individualized Educational Plans and hold a DPI license in Early Childhood Special Education License or be eligible to obtain one.

    Special Education Paraprofessional Positions:

    The School District of Siren has opened up a search for paraprofessionals to work with students with disabilities for the 2022-2023 school year.   This position could be working directly with cognitively and physically handicapped and/or  behaviorally challenged students, or students needing academic support at multiple grade levels. Positions could be full or part time. 

    The Special Education aide works directly with students under the direction of the Special Education Teacher. Duties may include: changing and tube feeding wheelchair bound students,  providing educational support for students, documenting daily activities of students, supporting students in the classroom,  van transportation driver and other duties as assigned.  The ability to communicate effectively with staff and students is essential. Candidates must possess the ability to be flexible in their assigned work duties. Possession of  Wisconsin DPI Handicap Aide License or the ability to obtain one is required.

    ELEMENTARY SCHOOL COUNSELOR
     
    Siren School District is seeking a full time Elementary School Counselor.  This position works with student in grades 4K-5 providing whole group, small group, and individual services to students.


    The candidate must meet the requirements as established by the Wisconsin DPI for a School Counselor License 7054.

    STUDENT ENGAGEMENT FACILITATOR

    The Siren School District is seeking applications from qualified candidates for the full-time position of Student Engagement Facilitator. Under the direction of the Middle School/High School Principal,this person is responsible for:

    ● Working closely with principals to share the responsibility for protecting the health and welfare of students
    ● Able to communicate effectively with families, particularly as related to challenging student circumstances and issues.
    ● Remove barriers to connect students to school.
    ● Reduce discipline and problem behaviors by increasing social skills.
    ● Work with Tribal Coordinators and coordinate efforts in helping students and families.
    ● Consult closely with the Special Education Director and Pupil Services Team to identify the needs of students and families.
    ● Maintain an ongoing liaison with community agencies and other resources to meet student needs; refer parents and students to agencies when appropriate.
    ● Develop individualized strategies to provide for the social, emotional and academic needs of identified students.
    ● Work closely with grade-level, student services and leadership teams in using data to plan interventions, programming and advancing District priorities.
    ● Coordinate onsite and telehealth counseling appointments.

    ● Assist in following School Board regulations for excessive absences and truancy and interview students and parents to discuss issues related to non-attendance and develop a plan of action.
    ● Must be able to maintain good relationships with students, staff, parents and the general public using understanding and tact.

    Candidates should have experience with:
    ● Knowledge of child growth and development, and experience and knowledge with the teaching and learning process.

    Required qualifications:
    ● Bachelor’s degree in education with current WI licensure in a teaching area.
    ● Three years of successful teaching experience or social work.

    MIDDLE SCHOOL/HIGH SCHOOL SECRETARY

    The Siren School District is seeking applications from qualified candidates for the position of Middle School/High School Secretary which comes with a 220 day contract.  Under the direction of the High School Principal, this person is responsible for all secretarial duties that relate to the Middle School/High School Principal and office, receptionist, enrollment of students, assists in the management and execution of student accounting and recordkeeping, budget of the office, manage reporting systems related to student records grades 6-12 and graduates, collect and produce school census information, prepare State reports as required. Candidates should have experience running Powerschool, Skyward, and WISE. Excellent people skills along with computer, organizational and secretarial skills are a must.  Must be able to maintain good relationships with students, staff, parents and the general public using understanding and tact.

    Dragon Learning Center Teachers Needed

    Our Dragon Learning Center is looking for adults to join our exciting after school program. We are looking for teachers but you do not have to be a licensed teacher. Candidates that have an interest in teaching and helping students grow as learners should apply. Working hours are from 3:30 pm until 6:00 pm Monday through Thursday. All applicants will be subject to a background check and need a good driving record. Duties include: homework assistance, enrichment lessons, and supervision. This position is 10 hours per week.
